Did I book my baby shower too close to my due date?

Due January 1! First baby, no gestational, no problems except low vitamin D. I had weight loss surgery in Dec 2015. 
I booked for Dec 3. Is that too close? Will he be here before I can have a shower? Lol

Not really- unless you have an early birth that's plenty of time, as long as you're not depending on gifts to fill out most of your needs.

our baby shower is 6 weeks until our due date. if you have the baby first before the shower, at least they get to enjoy their own party!

I don't think so. My bbyshower was sep 16th and my due date is oct 28th

my shower is tomorrow and I'm due on Nov 9. i will be 33+3.

I'm trying have mine 2 months before due date... but only because Dr said it's highly likely baby will be early naturally or induced early. that way it gives me time to buy remaining things I need too.
