Surgery Without My Boyfriend

Tomorrow I’m getting my wisdom teeth out and for weeks prior to the surgery my boyfriend has been telling me he will be there to take care of me and support me. He just asked his mom today if he could go and she said no. I know I can’t be mad at him because it’s not his fault she said no but I don’t know how to tell him that I’m still sad that he can’t be there. Am I reasonably upset or being too dramatic over something that’s doesn’t matter??
