Brown spotting??

I have been TTC for 6 months now after a year off the pill.. periods have stabilised although this month (I thought it might be my time finally) I came on Friday (although just brown discharge which is normal for the start of my period) however this only last 2 days then has stopped.. there was some spotting but nothing much and now I'm scared something's wrong.. has this happened to anyone else? Any feedback would be great.. I have booked in to the doctors for 2 weeks just incase
