I find it sickening that children are the only ones who can be hit legally, when they're the only ones who shouldn't, ever. Other times you hear stories about heinous shit a stranger said to someone, only to have that person walk away without incurring any repercussions. But, if a law were passed that allowed you to punch said person if you could provide a valid reason, would you do it? And "valid reason" would carefully be established in order to thwart abusers from taking advantage of the situation. In other words, if a person approached a mother with a special needs child and told said mother that she should have had an abortion (true story), that mother should have the right to punch that motherfucker right in the throat. Agree or disagree?
