When to start getting ready?

I am a high risk for pre term labor. I'm 26 weeks now which I know seems really early but my last son was born at 27 weeks and didn't make it. I don't want to get everything ready and not end up having a baby to bring home with me but if he does come early I want to be prepared. When should I start packing hospital bags and getting nursery ready?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I would already have my hospital bag ready if I was in your position. I would also start getting the nursery ready now. I can't imagine what you went through or what feelings you have now but my wish for you is to embrace your little one. I'm sure it might be harder to connect with the new baby and I hope it comes easy for you. I'm not at all saying that your not connected or anything, I'm just saying that you went through so much that I couldn't even imagine and I hope everything turns out well for the both of you.

I'm sorry for your loss and hope this little one sticks. Going off my experience I would pack now then you know you are right and ready when things happen.
With my first pregnancy I didn't have anything packed and was rushed to hospital at 21weeks my waters broke and we lost our daughter 3 days later. 
With my second pregnancy I started packing a bag at 16weeks just to be sure and so I was ready if something went wrong again, unfortunately it did at 24weeks 1day. I felt off all day and started cramping at work so went home and call ambulance and my mum. My bag came with me and I was at my hospital for 3 hours then airlifted to Melbourne and got there at 11.45pm on flight my waters broke the hospital stopped my labor but we still lost our son the next day.
Right now AF is 2days late 🤞🤞 Iv got a baby bag packed and mine because all my appointments will be in Melbourne this time and that's 4-5 hours drive from my place. And my specialist said he will hospitalise me at any point of my next pregnancy.
