Could you forgive someone who cheated?

I’m not in this situation but a friend of mine just got chested on so it sparked the conversation up between me and my boyfriend. What do you guys all think? Is it different depending on how far the cheating went or is a straight up no!

So many people confuse forgiveness with actually staying with a cheater… Listen, you can forgive the guy, don't let him take up room in your brain or anything. Forgive him… But don't stay with him. Those two things are not one in the same. He's not worthy of your trust. Anytime you stay with someone who is not worthy of your trust, you're doing yourself a disservice.

Depends, I stayed with mine but it technically wasn't cheating (we broke up but still working things out) I do believe in second chances because no one is perfect. However it happened once and we both made it clear that I would not allow another lie or any slip up.

Personally, I don’t think I could stay with someone, 
My grandma and grandpa had a son before they had my mom and my aunt. Grandma was out doing the laundry, and Ricky (my late uncle) wandered away from her. He ended up falling into a basement of a house being built that had filled with water and died. My grandfather blamed my grandmother for Ricky’s death and ended up having an affair. I honestly don’t blame him for that... especially because my grandmother changed so drastically after Ricky’s death, she went from being warm and loving to mean and scary, even now. However, they pulled through, and we just don’t talk about my grandfather’s illegitimate child...

No there is no forgiving if they love you they wouldn’t do it in the first place idc what temptations there is. Cheating is cheating and it’s painful and selfish

if i were in a relationship that had been going on for a while, and it was definitely a one time thing (maybe he was drunk or something), then MAYBE there's a chance (if the relationship was short term, then i'd just leave). if it were more of an affair situation, then no way. i would leave if it were more than once.
