A: Yes, it's a must & a good life skill.
B: No, it's not necessary.
C: My kids get taught at school or get cooking 
lessons from outside our home.
D: No, but only because I don't/ can't cook myself.

Yes!! It’s a necessary skill, plus it’s always been something my family has bonded over. We love getting in the kitchen and cooking/baking together.
Usually around 2-3 years old, the kids will crack eggs, mix things, help pour things, etc. all with adult supervision of course.

My fiancé's girls are 10 and 2 8year old twins and they can't toast pop tarts 😂😂 I have them in the kitchen baking and helping because they love to learn. Their mom can't boil water so they really have no one but me to teach them. I was in the kitchen cooking side items at 5 with my mom and grandma. They're never too young to learn.

My kids have helped in the kitchen since they were old enough to sit in a high chair. They start out just watching, then helping pour and stir things, and so on and so forth. My 10 year old can independently cook simple things now. He really enjoys cooking. My 6 year old isn't quite ready to use the stove, but helps with a lot of prep. My 3 year old's favorite thing is helping knead bread dough.
