Mixtape help

Me and my boyfriend’s one year anniversary is coming up in about two weeks. I don’t have much money (and anything I could get him, he’s probably already bought himself). Also this is my first relationship (yes at 26/27) and I don’t really know the proper protocol. I was thinking of making him a mixtape (CD) of some of the songs that remind me of him/us. I’ve narrowed it down to the few songs I believe he’ll listen to (aka, I took off (most) the Country songs lol). I’m just running into a bit of a snafu with the order (want it to flow and not have to many like sounding songs in a row) and was thinking someone could help.
