Who got pregnant while breastfeeding?

My daughter is 11 weeks old, I am breastfeeding and pumping. I still haven’t had my first period, and am wondering if it’s more common than not to get pregnant again while breastfeeding after baby? My husband and I have started having sex again, and so it just has me curious of how easily it’s happened for others? I don’t necessarily want to get pregnant right now but we do want them close in age so if it happens it happens...my husband seems to think I won’t get pregnant because I am not ovulating yet with no period.

You can ovulate even though you don’t have a period.  You definitely have a chance of getting pregnant while breastfeeding!

Breast feeding isn't birth control and you can ovulate without a period. I'd be using birth control if you don't want another so soon

My doctor told me that I probably won’t have a period for like a whole year if I’m breastfeeding. She told me to still plan on using birth control because it’s common to still get a period while breastfeeding and you can get pregnant before your period returns.

🙋🏼 I got pregnant at 6 months pp while breastfeeding. Definitely sooner than we planned but we know our son will love having a sibling.

My second pregnancy was conceived while exclusively breastfeeding at 6 months PP and my third pregnancy was conceived again while breastfeeding at 9 months PP.
