Whole milk?

Formula is getting so expensive, has anyone switched to half while milk? Or all whole milk yet? Any other pros and cons?

My doctors told me that it's a big nono to switch before a year. babies stomach is ready yet to properly process regular milk. it can actually harm the digredtive system and or cause future issues.

We started doing half and half last week when we bought a new tub of formula. She just finished it yesterday so now we’re full on milk.

My dr said to start introducing at 11 months.  I just started this week with one ounce per bottle...next week i will up it slightly and the week after etc.  He will be 1 on 11/11 so he should be ready for all whole milk by his one yr check up

i plan on starting as soon as i feel he is eating enough food to not need the nutrients from formula anymore. :)

Our ped said as soon as we get down to 20oz we can begin to switch! We still go through about a case of ready made formula a week (probably 28 + oz a day). As soon as we cut out a full bottle I guess we will transition over. I think it may take us until 1 to even get there! Good luck!

I switched about 2 weeks ago I did half and half. now he is on whole milk except for one bottle at night time is still half and half. He's eats soo good and gets all his nutrients from food I didn't think he needed formula anymore.

I haven't yet but it won't be long before we can switch! I also don't think my son will have an issue (hopefully) bc he eats a ton of things with regular milk and never gave him a problem. I'll still probably do half and half for a little then give all reg milk
