What happens next?

Hi everyone, I'm now 6 weeks and 3 days according to Glow. I recently moved areas so last week i registered at a new GP. I got asked to fill out a form and was told that the midwife would contact me. I haven't seen a GP yet since finding out i'm pregnant and the midwife hasn't contacted me, so i chased this up and the midwife's receptionist said call us again in 2 weeks to find out if i'm on the midwife's list. Does this sound normal? This is baby number 1 so i don't really know what to expect when! This is UK by the way, i don't know if it's different in other countries.

It’s pretty normal for your first appt to be between 8-12 weeks. Usually it’s only before that if it’s a high risk pregnancy.

it's normal I meet my midwife for first time Monday I will be 9 weeks and 2 days... first ultrasound 12 weeks and 2 days... this is my 5th pregnancy but 4th baby...

Hey, me too!! I'm 7+6days today, and filled in the same form at 5 weeks. I chased the doctor's twice and have been told that my first appointment will be my dating scan at 12 weeks. This is my first pregnancy, and I can't believe I'll not even see a doctor for another 4 weeks! I'm going to call again next week I think, but I'm not holding out much hope. sorry it's happening to you too, but I'm glad to hear I'm not alone!! xx

We have a midwife self referral number in Scotland. So I just called that and got my appts that way. Not sure how it works everywhere else in the U.K. But your first midwife appt should be around 8 weeks.
