No, but seriously! I’ve been suffering from pretty severe postpartum depression recently after the birth of my beautiful daughter, Aurora 9 months ago. Every day I feel worthless, quick to anger, extremely emotional, and EXHAUSTED! On top of it, I started my period yesterday, cramps, PMS, and all!
So, I visited my friend/previous boss at my old job, a family owned nutrition store. She quickly recommended that I take a chewable form of GABA (one of your body’s main neurotransmitters that acts to calm the nervous system).
She even gave me some of a sample (half of a bottle) to try out! Since yesterday I’ve been taking 2 a day in the morning, and the difference is remarkable!!!
I have had such a struggle even to just clean the house or fix myself up and get dressed, and today I had all of those things done before noon! I don’t feel irritable, I don’t feel like crying, and I don’t want a nap at all!
Any of you amazing mothers struggling with baby blues, don’t forget that there are plenty of natural, and truly effective ways to kick it right in the butt! I’m so thankful, because I thought I was doomed to feeling like a complete failure and total mess 24/7!
GABA may not be for everyone, but there are many other options also! From lavender, to lemon balm, and even teas that are especially easy to ingest!
