Need an opinion...

My bf and I had sex yesterday morning and when I went to the bathroom afterwards I had some light pinkish red blood when I wiped. Well I didn't really have any pain at this time and I waited about 25 minutes and went back to the bathroom and wiped again and there was nothing. So I felt relieved... so about 3 hours later I am eating out and felt like I started my period so of course I go to the bathroom and when I wipe there is more blood.. at this time no clots. I went to the er and they tested my hcg which was normal levels he said and my us showed an embryo but I was 5 weeks and 6 days so doc said it was to early to see anything much else. My cervix was closed at the time but since then (24 hours) I've still had some bleeding.. has this ever happened to anyone and it not been a miscarriage?
