How to breastfeed?!

Hi guys I'm sorry this is kind of embarrasing for me so I'll post private. I have inverted nipples so I tried to breast feed my first born and he didn't latch hes now 5 and I'm expecting my second. Any advice on how to breast feed how do they attach when the nipple is inverted?

There is something called a nipple shield, it’s a plastic thing you put over your nipple and it gives the baby the feeling of a nipple. It helped me with my son. Leave it on the whole time they breast feed and when they are done take it off and wash it for next time. They are super light weight so you don’t even notice a difference but helps the baby latch and get the breast milk without having to pump. And they help your nipples.

Tried the nipple shield and it's not going good so far so I've started to pump and bottle feed my son. We try once a day with a nipple shield. He's only 4 days old so we have plenty of time to get the hang of it. 😊

A lady posted this item that essentially suctions your nipple out to facilitate breastfeeding. She raved about it. I can't find the post but it's something limits Lansinoh one

I also have inverted nipples so I used nipple shields with my first. There are also these nipple dome things that you can wear when not breastfeeding that help draw your nipples out. I'm planning to start wearing those at night when I'm close to giving birth. You can also google how to breastfeed with inverted nipples. I found some techniques that look like they may work - only with breasts that aren't super full. You may need to pump a bit off before trying to latch. Hope that helps!
