Kinda Weird Question? Elbow Surgery Questions.

Question

So I had elbow surgery and now there's a screw in my arm. So if I were to put a magnet up to it would it stick to my arm? Or would it do any damage? And would it be possible for a surgery that was in my elbow to affect my fingers, because ever since I've had some difficulty moving my ring finger and my pinkie? Just wondering!

I doubt a magnet would stick, most of the "screws" are not screws they are biocomposite. I wouldn't try it though. And yes a elbow surgery can cause problems in your hand but I would call your surgeon and tell them, it sounds like you need more physical therapy. You need to tell the PT what's going on so they can help you.

These seem like questions for your doctor. Also it depends on what type of metal the screws are. If they are aluminum then no. If titanium then slightly. But I wouldn’t try that if I were you
