Michigan moms

I'm a FTM. As the weather here seems to finally be getting colder, what type of hats are you getting for your little ones for fall and winter weather? Coats? I went to Babies R Us yesterday but was disappointed in their selection. Also, I couldn't decide how thick everything should be or size. All of the sizes seemed either too big or too small, nor do I know what size she'll be when it gets super cold. She sweats in her car seat, but I don't want her to get too cold. Besides Babies R Us, where do you shop for clothing for your little one? Thinking of going to Great Lakes Crossing outlets or Birch Run outlets since they are close by, obviously not alone with my girl since apparently human trafficking is a huge problem in Michigan(especially at GLC). Thanks!
