Racism in the workplace

Ok so my mom told me the other day that her boss brought in the district manager to tell my mom and her two co workers that they could not speak Spanish at work . Now my mom doesn't speak English so her way of communicating is in Spanish. I am beyond livid that they would say that to my mother . Do I have the right to be mad ? This is what happens when trump is in office he gives all these racist people leeway to treat everyone like crap and that's not how it should work.
