running out of words to say to spouse?

ive been w my husband for 3yrs and our phone talks are usually silent after were done talking about the same old same that we always talk about lol. and when were together, we dont talk much too, its just always the same conversation. we dont ever talk during car rides, my husband used to make a big deal about it too. but he realize he doesnt have much to say too. when i look at my sisters relationship, they always have something to say to each other, and theyve been together longer. it just makes me think this isnt common and is a problem. my husband would want my lil bros to come sleepover, so life wouldnt be dull, he said. is this really all common? or somethings wrong? idk, i just cant find any words to say to him, but the same stuff like what do u want eat, u hungry, etc.
