Pelvic pain and corpus luteum cyst

During my ultrasound at 7 weeks, the tech asked me if I had both my ovaries, which I do so I was a little thrown off. After getting the report I read that I have a corpus luteum cyst on my right ovary. I know these are normal and usually disappear but have the potential to grow. I am now 11 weeks 5 days and experiencing intermittent sharp pains in my right side. I am hoping to get a 12 week ultrasound to look at it but it doesn’t sound like my doctor wants to do one so I won’t get another till 20 weeks. I’m wondering if anyone else has had experience with this?
