Ate right before blood draw on 1 hour

Nobody said not to eat after drinking the glucola drink for the 1 hour. In fact the front desk ladies asked me if I had breakfast afterward, and when I said I ONLY had the glucola this morning so far, they gave me a couple small cookies to eat. I got a 140 and they were going to send me to the 3 hour until I mentioned eating. The nurse was mad that the ladies gave me food. The instructions didn't mention no food after tho! Has anyone been told NOT to eat between the hour of drinking the glucose and getting blood drawn?
