Hello fellow Skittles 💙 I know I've been on and off here, just been busy with the mom life and wife life lol. Anyway, kind of need to vent a bit if you guys don't mind. At 9 pm tonight my husband started peeing blood. Like full on blood, you couldn't even tell the difference between his urine and the blood. Safe to say we were both scared. Our son was already asleep by this time, so I called my mom to come and watch him while I go to the ER with my husband. He has peed 4 more times and each time the amount of blood scared the crap out of me. We've met with the ER doctor on call, and tests are going to be done to ensure kidney function is good, test for UTI, kidney and bladder stones, and if all else comes back inconclusive, the doctor will send him to have bladder cancer ruled out. Between my pregnancy hormones and the fear I saw on my husband's face, I am trying really hard to not to cry. My husband has been a smoker since he was 14, and he's turning 28 now. Cancer is always in the back of my mind. Right now, they have an IV in to hydrate him to make sure his kidneys weren't dehydrated. I'll keep you guys up to date. I'm hoping he is just asymptomatic for a UTI.
