picking c section date?

so this is my 1st planned c section, and I know you get to pick a date to deliver. how close to your due date do they have you schedule it? I'm due May 13th, and I was thinking May 4th, is that too early?

That's interesting that you get to pick a date. This is my 3rd csection and the date is given to me way down the road when they can fit me in at 39 weeks. I might have to be scheduled at 38 weeks this time due to bad scar tissue, and she said I absolutely cannot go in labor if so because it's too dangerous.

my due date is May 23rd, a tentative date of may 16th is when we plan to have the baby! exactly 1 week before my due date!

My doctor said 39 weeks for a scheduled C-section. We were thinking May 4th as well if we end up doing a planned C-section although I feel like that date may be picked over by the time we decide. You should ask your doctor though because they may say it's close enough to 39 weeks.

It has to be at least 39 weeks. In the uk you don't get to pick the date, it is when they can fit you in.
