Who should get the longest sentence?
Person A:
Person A comes from a wealthy family and they have been fortunate enough to have a lot of opportunities in life. They excelled in high school, graduated college with a masters degree and became CEO of a major corporation. However, five years into their job they got busted for embezzlement (they embezzled a total of $100,000). Prior to the charge though they had been an outstanding citizen (ex: donating to charities, volunteering in their community, etc) and this is the first and only crime on their record.

Person B:
Person B comes from an impoverished background and a family of immigrants. They grew up in a rough neighborhood & from a young age got involved in crimes & drugs. Sadly, by the time they were just 21 Person B had racked up a series of petty crimes. The straw that broke the camels back though was when Person B got charged with armed robbery. Although they only took a total of $5,000 the store clerk was pretty shaken up about the whole ordeal.
