Can an infant get a fever from teething?

My son is 7 months old and my MIL noticed this evening 10/19 that he caught a fever. I don't have a thermometer so felt his head and stomach and it's warm. The last time he had a fever like this was when he had his 5 months shot and the fever was gone the next morning.

A low grade fever, yes. Usually anything over 101F or 102F is something else, not teething.

they can get a slight fever from teething. back in August my son had a fever of 105 and everyone insisted it was from teething a Google search,a talking to a pediatric nurse I know,and then his pediatrician all proved that wrong. definitely buy a thermometer. my son is naturally hot natured so we have to have one to be 100% sure he has a fever or not.
