Which is better Clomid or Femara and why?

I've been trying for 6 years now with no success and wanting to try something that may help. Has anyone had a bad pregnancy by using Clomid or Femara? just wondering to see what my options are and speaking to my GYN about it.

They are both the same. Clomid has a higher chance of twins but thins out your lining. Femara is meant to be better for the lining and less symptoms. Generally if one doesn't work for you, the other might take to your body better. 
I used both but Clomid worked for me.

Femara is more expensive but seems to have less side effects. My doctor prescribed Clomid. I may eventually ask to switch to Femara, because Clomid has been pretty rough for me (headaches, hot flashes, anxiousness, lack of cervical mucus).

I think it might be physician preference as well. But I assume it mostly depends on the patient and what you and/or your SO’s issues are. My physician put me on Femara which I’ll start if I’m not preggo this month.
