Pretty sure my 2 week old is suffering from acid reflux. When we lay him down in the bassinet after feeding he makes all kinds of gurgling/grunting sounds, which eventually leads to fussing, and then crying. But if we let him sleep in his rock and play where he's much more elevated, he goes right to sleep.

I know hes not really supposed to sleep in the rock and play, but after a long night of no sleep I'm at my wits end here. Anyone have suggestions? He is half BF and then half supplemented with formula (Similac for supplementation version).

Update: we saw the pediatrician today, and she prescribed him Zantac .3mL 3x/day. Really hoping this works, he has been SO fussy and inconsolable despite sleeping elevated, frequent burping, smaller feedings, and keeping elevated for at least 30 min post feeding. The other thing I think is a possibility is a milk intolerance, he had very runny stools yesterday and today had a bit of mucus in his stool. Hoping we get an answer soon I feel so bad I can tell he is in pain.
