FTM 26 weeks...... What job is *actually* safe to work while pregnant? Everything has an if, and, or but about it. If only we all lived in a wonderful world and could easily obtain a desk job. My question is, Am I pushing my self too far with my job? I stand in one spot for 8 hours a day, I lift about 15 pounds, up and down ladders occasionally. A lady who did the same thing had to have an emergency c section, due to dangerously high blood pressure. I know every pregnancy is different, but I'm coming home with swollen feet and ankles, my back hurts so bad I can't sleep, and I'm just getting worried. Will I end up in the same boat as she? I know it's a case of 'what your body can take' but I feel like if I need to take an extra day off, or work short shifts, I will be told I'm just being dramatic or or milking the subject. I'm not sure what the 'normal amount of pain is' I've never had a child before. My doctor doesn't seem to be concerned by my swollen feet and says my blood pressure is normal. What should I do?
