Is there an order on how to read the bible?

I wanna get more involved with the bible but i quite don't know how to start, when i read it i kind of just open up the book and choose a page. I also don't really understand what Old Testament and New Testament means, i also see how ppl make notes or write on their bible, how does all that work? Any help will be appreciated ☺️

I don't read it in order, best is to start at a book though not just a random page. I started at Ruth. just chose it randomly because it was a females name I guess lol. choose a name that sounds interesting. I suggest starting in the new testament as it's a lot easier to read in my opinion. Roman's is my favorite.  I never really made notes in the Bible but highlighted all the verses that had a strong meaning to me to go back and read again and again. after Ruth I jumped around randomly until I was finished with the whole Bible. I would put a check after I finished a book so I would know I read it already.  New testament is about the gospel and Jesus, mostly. Old testament is pre-Jesus.

Reading The bible is just like, Walking into some bodies Life and Getting to know them. You ask them Questions and They'll Answer With their Truth. The Bible is The truth About Gods life and Also your own,  When Approaching the Bible (Because it is Holy) God requires Prayer. Whatever it is You want to ask him about "Ask and it shall be Given  unto you" Its good to Ask for, Wisdom, Knowledge and Understansing. So you'll understand what it is that you're Reading. God Will Lead you to where your Hearts Needs to Be "Seek and it shall be Found" Your Heart Chooses the Page! And Last of All Simply Knock on the Door Before entering. (Jesus is the Door) Ask in his name. "Knock And it shall be opened unto you" , Many bibles have changed a few words and Added their own! The bible is False if All words Are Not Gods Words. Old testament! was Before Jesus Came! Where everyone had to Follow the Ten commandments! For safety  from evildoers! New testament is when Jesus Came To warn the people and Brang a New Law! That all will be saved In his name!

I think it's best to start with like the book of John, Mark, Luke and Matthew. they are easier to understand and are more about Jesus and his life on earth. do a Google search and see what you can find. look up like the best place to start in the bible for beginners. I read the new testament before I started on the old testament. not in order though, I bounced around. I found something a pastor wrote about where to start at in the bible and followed that for a while.

You can actually buy a chronological Bible that puts the books in order chronologically. I have one and loved being able to read it historically in order. :)

There isn’t a specific way to read the Bible but I always tell people to start in the Book of John because it’s the book of Love ❤️ 
And then just work your way down or however you feel led. 
Just pray for Revelation while reading it.
