What is it like when you take baby home for the first time? what should i be prepared for ?

coming home with my first wasn't a huge change.. I think the biggest change was waking up several times a night to feed her (but I was already waking up before she was born to go pee every few minutes!). My second was a bit more difficult because I had to divide my attention between a toddler and a newborn, plus I was sore and tired. The great thing about newborns is they don't do much so they can lay in a bouncer or bassinet while you do what you need to do and as they grow your schedules kind of merge and it's like they were always there and you'll forget what you did with yourself before baby arrived :)
