Unwanted hair

So I have upper lip hair. It's not dark, it's blonde. But it's coarse and ugly and the most I've done to it is use at-home wax strips (that are painful and leave long lasting red marks) or just trimmed the hairs with scissors.

Any advice on what to do? I have super sensitive skin so I've always been hesitant to use creams because I've read reviews saying they've chemically burned peoples skin! What do you guys do?
