any insights on why my body is playibg tricks on me?

Helloo I hope everyone is going to have a wounderfull monday... ok so straight to the point . . me and my husband have beem ttc for four months now..i know others have tried for longer. This month i decided to go to the doctor on cycle day 14.. my doctor looked at my ovaries and said i was going to ovulate in the next 24 hours beacose my follicle was 24.9mm and said me and my husband should have sex for the next 3 days... aaand so we did.. but now yesterday 4 dpo I started having bulges of white strechy cervical mucus... and this morning alot i mean alot clear white strechy mucus... so did my doctor get his timing wrong ? am i ovulating now ??? i am so confused...
