Birth control for cramps

Hey everyone, I'm 16 years old and I have been having horrible period cramps since I was 12 and I've always had to stay home or leave school early because of how bad my cramps were. Sometimes it's bearable and it will go away after an hour under the heating pad and some ibuprofen, but periods like this one also occur sporadically and I can't take it anymore. I cramp so badly that I become delusional and act like a drunk. I get about 2 hours of sleep because I can't sleep in a comfortable position without getting extreme nausea. I get so nauseous that I throw up constantly. And I can barely move and am in pain for hours on end and ibuprofen isn't even effective. My mom claims that she went through the same thing. But this is keeping me from daily activities like walking and eating, never mind going to school. I really need to convince her to let me start a form of birth control because this is ridiculous and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. If anyone reading this relates or has a preferred birth control method that they use for cramps- let me know please. I feel like I'm dying.
