Spotting and low progesterone

Hi ladies.... do any of you know if excessive spotting (or what I believe to be excessive) has anything to do with low progesterone ??? I spotted for 5 days then nothing for 2 days and then started my period This Monday. I start my first round of clomid tomorrow. We have been ttc for almost 1.5 years now :( my initial blood work (hormone panel) was all fine. I don’t understand why I can’t get pregnant :( any suggestions, comments, feedback, personal experiences etc. would be greatly appreciated. TIA
