I hate my IUD...

Long post, sorry...

I can't use hormonal birth control due to a medication I'm on so I got the paragard about a month ago. Since I've had it I have had cramps every day that are almost debilitating along with worsening of my fibromyalgia back pain. It has also made my vagina smell terrible despite practicing good hygiene. When I'm on my period it smells 1838261 times worse (not to mention OVERFILLING my menstrual cup EVERY TWO TO THREE HOURS FOR FOUR DAYS STRAIGHT... followed by three more heavy/medium days and one light day). BF is away at uni so have not had a chance to actually test how it feels but he has a fairly large penis (8") and even just masturbating with a 6" dildo can feel uncomfortable. He wants me to try and wait a few more months to see if I adjust and how it feels when we have sex but personally I don't want to live in this amount of pain any longer. I was so excited about this form of birth control but it's turned out to be a total nightmare... Have an appointment with my gynaecologist for the 5th of November. Unfortunately their building flooded recently and there are no other clinics where I live so I won't be able to get in any sooner to talk. Did any of you have a similar experience with paragard? Did things get better or did you have it removed? x
