mothers of mixed kids - hair question

my 2 yr old daughter is mixed b/w....the TEXTURE of her hair is smooth but it is VERY curly and a little dry...ive started doing the l.o.c method which has definitely helped with dryness.

I am able to do her hair but I'm specifically talking abt braids....I am able to cornrow her hair but after a night of sleeping on it, it gets frizzy and looks a mess....

what's the best product to keep her hair in place and any tips? sleeping with a satincj head wrap, etc.?
