Crib or Bassinet?

I’m on baby number 3 we have a crib already from our first son. The boys have beds. However I’m thinking of still getting a bassinet. After giving birth it’s really difficult for me to bend over the crib plus I have short arms (lol). We had one with our first two but got rid of it before deciding to have #3. The baby will be in our room for the first 6 months. Our room has enough space for either. So honestly is it a waste to get a bassinet? What are your reasons for one or the other?

We're going to try pack n play or rock n play. We have limited room until we can move in June and my daughter didn't use her crib until 8+ months anyway

We used a pack n play in our room the first few months with our daughter. I liked that it had the bassinet setting so I didn't have to bend over and it felt more useful than a bassinet. We still use the pack n play when we go visit family and for a while had it set up on our first floor for naps so I didn't have to go upstairs to the nursery all the time. Sounds like a bassinet or pack n play would be better for you than a crib until baby can sit up on their own.

If you can fit the crib in your room I’d highly recommend starting off with that. We will be doing that with this one, our second. We started or son in a bassinet and it was a bit of a rough transition to the crib when he outgrew it.

this is my 7th..I'm telling u I've tried everything..the best thing is the rock and play cradles..I've used them with my last two and they are the best..I will have a crib for when the baby gets to big for the cradle but it keeps them at a angle so it's great for reflux ..wish I had a picture but if u Google it u can see what it looks like

We used a bassinet for our first two and bed shared with our youngest. I breastfed and it was just easier to have her next to me. This new baby, I will probably bed share again since I plan on breastfeeding, but I do plan on having a bassinet in the room as well. We didn’t do cribs. We went straight to twin sized bed once they’ve outgrown bed sharing. Never had an issue.

We have a pack n play with a detachable bassinet. They was we got multiple uses out of it.

We used a bassinet last time and will be again this time. I could have it right next to the bed like a co sleeper and just reach over to grab him during the night and everything. It was much easier than the crib. I'd reccommend a bassinet or co sleeper because it's so much easier for overnight feedings to just roll over and grab baby. It made it much easier for me to get back to sleep since I didn't have to actually get up and move around.

I loved the bassinet. My son hated the pack and play (I think it was too big and he was premie, he much preferred the smaller space)
