If the world had no borders, would there be less or more war/conflict?

Borders were never the problem. It's the resources behind those borders that cause conflict. See "Manifest Destiny," "White Man's Burden" and the carving up of the world for more insight.

Humans naturally categorize. It's how our brains are wired. Even feral individuals have been known to sort/organize things they found in the wild or create "borders" around the place where they slept. The walls of our home are technically borders. It's very improbable we will ever live in a world without borders, either imaginary or physical. Humans like to mark what belongs to them.

I feel like it would give countries who are already at war more access to each other. Of course, borders only help some. But if there were none, weapons could reach further, little to nothing would be blocked, and it would be much easier for menacing leaders to attack countries they have no business messing with.

I think there were more wars before we had borders. Easier to access and destroy. I think we naturally want to guard what we consider 5o be "ours". Walls in our home, fence around our property, gated community, bordered country.

I think it depends. The first thing that crosses my mind with that is who would be in charge? Would we have a world leader? In that case I think it is risky because one man would have way too much power. Would we have no leader? I really think the borders don’t matter but rather how the world would be governed.

I lean towards more, but I want current access to become residents easier to obtain. 
I feel it’s pretty human nature to declare “my” space, and that if we removed borders that mentality would still exist, but now exists without any form of customs to enter and exit.

Less borders going forward or less borders ever made in this world? If we did a rewind I’m sure history would have told a different story but if we’re talking about going forward, no I don’t think so. I think taking any measures to prevent illegal access by anyone is a good idea but at the same time we should also make the process simpler when it comes to getting citizenship/legal status.

I wish we had less borders. I think it will help unite the human race as a whole. I think it’s okay to be proud of your nationality too, and it’s something to celebrate for some, but I think we need to really work on world peace. I honestly believe if we focus on us as a whole, we can truly make the world a better place and not just ridding of “war”. I think if we work together, we can become a productive society in the world of science, education, acceptance and much much more.
