First baby questions??

My husband and I are on our second month of trying to get pregnant, last month I was SO sure I was pregnant. I had all the symptoms. I went to the doctors and got blood tests done and 2 ultrasounds.. no baby :( we are trying again this month. I am 7dpo and on cycle day 18. When is it best to test? My period is supposed to come on Nov 2nd. I’m afraid to test because I get disappointed when it’s not positive, but then I think maybe it’s too early?? I drive myself mad! We don’t have any kids yet, this would be our first one. So when I feel anything out of the ordinary, I automatically think BABY😂 so right now, I’ve been feeling pretty tired and lazy, a little bit of lower abdomen pain/pressure, backaches and headaches. Also, my CM seems to be a bit more.. heavy? And it has a certain kind of smell to it. TMI, I know. Should I wait to see if AF shows up or test a few days before?
