When are girls supposed to have their first Pap smear? Been having sex for about 2 years and haven’t gone to get one yet

I think the general rule is whenever you become sexually active or around the age of 18. It’s important to get one done even if you aren’t having sex, gotta make sure your lady bits are good and healthy

My womens health nurse said they don’t like to do them unless your 21 or have been sexually active for at least 3 years

Pap smears are done at age 21. Even if you’ve had sex prior. The only way doctors will do a Pap smear is if you’re pregnant, but besides that it’s at the age of 21& every 3 years after that, unless of course if your pap comes back abnormal, then you would have it more frequently per your doctors recommendations.

Usually once you turn 21, I had my first one at 17 because I had been having sex. Its really good to get them done for health reasons. (Cancer, cysts, and other possible abnormalities)

I haven't had one and I'm 22.. I really don't want to have one either as my doctor is a woman and about 3 years ago I was sexually assaulted by a girl that went yo the same school as I did.. I know it's completely different but at the same time I'd rather not have it done

my doctor told me usually your first one isn't until your 21 and then one atleast every year. I got my first one when I was 18 though and wanted to get on birth control
