my boyfriend refuses to wear condoms....

I am 5 weeks post partum, and my boyfriend is hounding me about having sex. I am not comfortable even trying until I get cleared from my doctor, but we have talked about it. anyway, I told him that I really don't want another baby anytime soon, and that I don't want to have sex without using condoms... he said that he absolutely won't wear condoms, and that i will give in eventually..... and before I get rude comments, even if I'm on birth control (which I plan to be) I want to be extra protected. how would y'all react or handle this?
