advice

I'm a little confused. me and my partner suffered a miscarriage in April after ttc for 18months. we were deverstated. we are now trying again. last month my period arrived 5 days early. this month I was 3 days late but it was completely different to my normal cycle. we were both convinced I was pregnant. I had a lot of the symptoms of pregnancy. my period ended 10 days ago and since then I've had some spotting which I've never had before. I'm a little confused as to why this has happened. has anyone any advice please.
