I'm 100% straight so I'll think a girl's outfit is cute, or her hair/makeup is poppin', but it ain't like, "HOLY CRAP, HER ASS BETTER BE SINGLE". My bf's oldest sister and her gf do this thing when they're out and they'll talk about any girl they see walk by and if she's cute and what they like about the girl.
