Seeing a dr?

I just found out I’m pregnant!! 😁😁😁😍😍😍 I called my dr office and they said I wait 4 weeks to see the dr?? How long is it usual to wait to see a dr?? I would have thought they would have me come in and do a test there.

Most offices won’t see you until you’re at least 8 weeks. Good luck and congrats!

My doctor's office schedules the first appointment for 10-12 weeks unless there is a concern or need to be seen earlier. I went in at 6 weeks due to bad cramping and then at 8 weeks because I needed paperwork filled out.

I didn’t see a doctor until around 11 weeks but that was only because of insurance purposes, so I think standard around 8-10 weeks is when people are seen! Yes it’s a long wait, but worth it. 😊

They don't usually see you until your 8weeks. At that appointment they'll take your urine and blood. Ask you questions, give you a pap. The next appointment is usually at 10-12 weeks there you will get your first ultrasound.
