Praying for my babies. ***UPDATE

Last Monday I felt something wrong. Felt like my water breaking. I called my doctor and he said that would be extremely rare at 12 weeks and he’s only seen it once before. He was sure that that wasn’t what happened. I had an abdominal cerclage surgery scheduled for Thursday and he said we would do an ultrasound before then as a reassurance to me. I didn’t have any cramping or symptoms after Monday, so my mind eased and I was just nervous and looking forward to my surgery. Fast forward to Thursday. I got to the hospital for my surgery and went through all of the prep. The last thing they did was the ultrasound. One of my twins sacks had ruptured and was completely emptied of fluid. My doctor said the one case he had before (he has had over 700 patients, he is one of the best in the country) carried twins to 37 weeks once this happened. Both of my babies had a heartbeat and were hanging in there. My surgery was canceled because of the risk of infection. I go back on Monday for an ultrasound to see if the sack resealed and has filled with fluid again. I’ve seen a lot of people talking about this with a good outcome, but it’s so hard to think positive right now. My babies are struggling and there’s nothing I can do 😫 He told me that if the sack heals and can hold fluid we can reschedule the cerclage. I need all the prayers and good thoughts I can get right now.

UPDATE********

I had an ultrasound today to see if anything has improved. Nothing has changed. Both babies still have good heartbeats, but the one sack is still ruptured and leaking. I still can’t have my cerclage until things are improved. I go back next week to see if the sack has healed
