My husband and I married in his parents backyard under their pagoda. The reception was on the other side of their property where the pool and tiki huts were.

We got married at a hotel/resort and did everything right there. We had a small ceremony with just family on a rooftop garden overlooking the ocean and then a big reception/dance in a ball room. We loved the experience and it was so easy to have everything in one place for everyone. The hotel offered special room rates for our guests if they wished to stay. We stayed at the hotel the night before, got ready there and stayed there the night of our wedding as well.

Married outdoors (at a winery) under a beautiful oak tree. A Benedictine Catholic Priest marry us. Reception was at the same location.  :)

We were married in our church then drove about 15 minutes to our reception at a country club. The church didn’t have a space for a reception and it was important to us to be married in a religious ceremony, so getting married at the reception venue wasn’t an option.

I got married in a Catholic Church and I wasn't even Catholic and I don't believe in God. my mother-in-law was extremely Catholic so I did it to make her happy! it was a very big wedding over 200 people! 20 years later I really wish I would have gotten married on a beach with just 20 people.
