Okay. so if you have ever worked with a cash register you know that at the beginning the drawer is at an even amount of dollars. So the owner has an even amount of dollars to start with. the lady took 100, leaving the drawer short 100. she returned to pay 70 dollars back for items, adding back to the drawer. 100-70=30. so at the end of the day when the owner is counting the drawer, it would come up as 30 dollars short. Actually had this problem a few months ago. a drawer was 15 short and it should of came out to 200, but it was 145. someone didn't pay or they cashier didn't count the money before ending the transaction. Once you have dealt with money it's very hard to for get the small details.

You also have to factor in the $70 of the product. So he’s out the $100 bill - giving her $30 back so she gained $30 plus the product. He lost $100 of which he received $70 back but gave $30 our. So he’s out $30 plus the cost of the product. So $100? Dear God. It’s too late for this kind of thought process. Hahahaha.
