anyone else feel there OB might be burnt out?

I'm 25 weeks....and still getting a feeling like maybe I should change practices. do all OB not seem to care or remember you? has anyone switched this late in their pregnancy? I don't know if it will be more stress then it's worth.

They have hundreds of patients they see so perfectly normal for them to forget things you talked about previous visit. A normal day for them is not your normal day. They can go from doing rounds at 2 am then head home for some sleep then office patients, then be called out delivery and don't forget being on call and dealing with patients calling the answering service. It is not an easy job . I have been knowing my OB for years and I trust him. Some visits he will talk your ear off and then their are those visits where his day ad been hell and he is rushing to tend to everyone. But I know when he is with me and my husband he is focused on us. I don't care about wait time and I don't need medical staff wiping my tears holding my hands that is what my husband is for. Their job as medical professionals  is to make sure everything is ok with baby and myself. That is all I expect out of them , not to remember what I wore at my last  visit or what my favorite hobbies.

Most Dr only come in to do the delivery I have a great relationship with the nursing staff who technically does everything anyway .. my previous pregnancy my Dr came in 10 min before delivery to catch the baby. I don’t like the small talk I want to be in and out and if I have questions they get answered l. I’m not looking for a new friend but that’s just me 🤷🏽‍♀️.

I'm 28 weeks and back at 24 weeks switched drs and it has been the best decision! As long as you've had prenatal care they don't usually mind to take you even if it is a little later in the pregnancy but if I was you I would do it asap

I had 2 doctors and then i switched to a midwife whom i absolutely love! I wouldn’t be afraid to switch, you want your pregnancy and birth to be a positive experience

12 years ago I switched drs at 6 months. I’m still seeing the dr I changed to 12 years later. You should be comfortable and have a good relationship with your dr. I love my dr he’s been through all of my losses with me and is comforting and understanding. He’s delivered both my girls and will be delivering my son too. I feel it’s good to have a good relationship with your dr. Always do what’s best for you, definitely change drs if you aren’t feeling it.

Switch to someone you can trust and are excited about you, and your baby. I have an obgyn that cares more about my baby than me. And that. That is okay with me. But she knows me. Last year I had a cyst removed and she saved my ovaries! She remembered me well and has a passion for me I can't explain because, this was only possible with her help and care.    My point. There's lots and lots of obgyn out there. Get one that you can share this experience with and has a passion for women and babies!!! I can't imagine labor with someone I didn't trust

Ugh I'm 28 weeks today and I feel this way. But where I'm going I see every single dr. With my first son I had ONE dr and loved her. I switched hospitals since this one is closer to home. If I wasn't so far along I'd switch :( it stinks to not love the place you're going to have your baby. I'm hoping my labor and delivery changes my perspective on this place. Totally know how you're feeling!!

I don't like my office either, never even met the actual Dr. I see a PA, the last visit I about had a melt down because the girl rushed us in and snapped at me then hurt my arm while taking my bp. I said it got too tight and she goes we'll tell her this one just incase. I heard her go out and tell the PA and she immediately said are you sure? go take another one, it was super high. I was pissed because I'm terrified this pregnancy and every visit causes me to panic a bit. I would say switch if you can because it's about you and baby being happy!!
