Feels like rice?

So recently I was feeling down there. A few days ago the skin surface hurt (no redness or anything just felt like a sore). I told myself it could be an ingrown hair, and to wait a few days. Now the “sore” is gone (never showed anything visible) but inside the skin of my labia majora it feels like there’s a large grain of rice. It’s that same size and shape. It doesn’t hurt- I only found it cause I was feeling around with my hands. I have an upcoming gyno appointment anyway but was wondering what this might be? If anyone has had something like this?

Extra info- Last time I was checked I had no stds, but that was maybe 3 partners ago. My current partner got tested a week or so ago and is all clear so I haven’t given him anything which was reassuring. So I’m thinking maybe not std related but still unsure until the dr says so
