Birth centre or hospital?

ge

I'm just looking for a little help because I am having a hard time deciding for myself.

I am Due with my second baby in a couple of months so need to decide where I give birth, I have two choices and I'm struggling to decide.

First option is in hospital, the hospital is 3 hours away from where I live and is where I had my first child, my first labour was 26 hours from the time my waters broke to the time she arrived so we had plenty of time to travel. I got an epidural there and it worked but only up to 8cm but it was good up till then! My daughter was born ventouse but other than that it was a pretty normal birth, as far as I know.

Second option is a birthing centre. The birthing centre is a five minute drive from my home and looks really relaxing. I want to use a birthing tub but the hospital doesn't have one. Epidural is not available at the birthing centre, only gas. Only thing is if something goes horribly wrong the hospital is three hours away but the chances of anything bad happening is slim but there's still that chance.
