What did you do immediately after your wedding?

Just curious, but what did you do immediately after your wedding? Movies seem to portray that the nearly weds immediately to off to their honeymoon or some hotel or whatever, but I was thinking that that probably doesn’t happen in real life lol

After our wedding, my husband and I ran home, had a quickie, changed our clothes and then went out for drinks with friends. We had a lot of people come from out of state so we wanted to spend time with them before they had to leave.

We changed, went out for drinks with our bridal party then went to our hotel 😍 The next day we woke up, had breakfast with family then flew out for our honeymoon.

Most of my family were staying at the hotel near our venue. We were all tired and hubby was pretty drunk. We just hung out with my cousins and friends, ate some In-N-Out, finally called it a night. Hubby was drunk/sleepy. Nothing magical happened that night. Lol

I got married in Cuba so we had dinner and some drinks with friends/family and then went to bed. We were there 4 more days before we left it was awesome

I’m wondering this too lol. You’re right. In movies and whatnot, it’s like they are done with their wedding then suddenly in some amazing vacation place.

Our reception was at a hotel. So we got changed in our room and went down to the hotel bar and drank some more with most of our guests. After the night ended, hubs and I literally laid on the bed and passed out. 
Next day we went home and packed for our honeymoon- which we left the following day.

We didn't actually leave for our honeymoon until days later! So just went home and did honeymooner stuff lol! But I know lots who just go to a nice hotel and stay there for the night if they aren't leaving for honeymoon right away.
